But what is age
But a metric for comparison
To the other shining happy people
All holding hands

In which we built up different systems
Permitting us
A more frivolous day to day
Where art and food are central
To life
And the remainder it all just fades away

Social standing
Proximity or position
we’re all permitted
To burn out or fade away

What is a day
To a homo-sapien
Adhd Hunter gatherer
Trying to make it in
A world
I cannot afford to buy a stake in
Or even grill a steak in
Cause I was born in the city
So there’s no good prey
for me to get to staking

What is a day beyond
A rhythm that’s circadian
The clock it is a drum break
And I cannot seem to loop it right
Until the walls of my life are all crumbling
And Caving in

Why count my age
In an age I cannot count on
Why track the weeks and months and days
When we all go on to pass on
If the world we choose to pass on
To the next generation
